Odysseus "Ulysses" Georgantas Odysseus "Ulysses" Georgantas , 81, of Brockton, passed away peacefully Monday, December 19, 2011 at his home in Brockton under the care of his family and hospice. He was the husband of the late Theodora "Roula" (Tsoumas) Georgantas. Born June 20, 1930 in Kidonies, Greece, he was the son of the late George and Despina (Goulopoulos) Georgantas. He immigrated to the United States in 1954 and lived in Brockton ever since. Odysseus was a self-employed homebuilder and proprietor of Cape Home Builders. Prior to starting his own business in 1973, he worked at the A B Tannery. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. He enjoyed working, gardening and spending time with his family. He always took the time to talk, at length, with those he met in his daily affairs. Politics was one of his favorite topics. He is survived by his sons, George of West Bridgewater, Peter and his wife Maryanne of West Bridgewater, Arthur and his wife Colleen of Foxboro and the late Dean Georgantas; his grandchildren, Dean, Devin, Arianna, Alexander, Zachary and Alexa. He leaves his sisters Aglaia Antonopoulos and her husband Vaios of Brockton, Penelope Stamos and Efthalia Bouyoukas both of Greece; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Victoria Valavanis and Evangeline Karanikolas of Greece. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Friday, December 23rd at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:30AM.
