Online Obituaries Olindo R. Pires, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Maria L. Miranda. Born on September 23, 1928 in Fogo, Cape Verde he was the son of the late Joao Rodrigues Pires and Rosalia De Pina Pires. Olindo enjoyed telling stories, joking around with family and friends, and especially loved being around his children and caring for his granchildren and great-granchildren. He is survived by his children, Benvinda R. Pires, Isabel Pires, MariaOlinda Pires, Angelo Pires, Virginia Pires, Maria Helena Pires, Joao Pires, Manuel Pires, and Arlindo Pires. He is also survived by 38 Grandchildren and 37 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 8:00AM followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00AM in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main Street, Brockton.
