Olive Isadora (Denson) Blood, 94, of East Bridgewater, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John Russell Blood, Sr.
Born February 11, 1919 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Otis Ellis Denson and Ethel May (Butler) Denson. She was raised on her family farm on Quincy Street in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School, class of 1937.
Olive worked for Bostonian Shoe in the Cost and Pricing Department at Commonwealth Shoe in Whitman.
Olive enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren, crafts and crochet. She was a great cook.
She is survived by her son, John Russell Blood, Jr. and his wife Pamela A. Blood; her grandchildren, Scott Russell Blood and his wife Karen (Doyle) Blood and Jeffrey David Blood and his wife Lisa (Mello) Blood; her great-grandchildren, Melissa L. Blood, Stephanie N. Blood, Briana M. Blood, Stephen R. Blood, Jeffrey D. Blood, Jr.; her great-great grandchild, Kahlan R. Blood; her former daughter-in-law, Tina Blood; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, September 3rd at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Monday 4:00-7:00PM.
