It is with deep sadness that the Auguste family announces the passing of Olivia L. Auguste on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 3:20.
Olivia Louis Auguste was Born on July 20, 1934 in Santiago de Cuba. Her parents returned to Les Cayes, Haiti when she was 6 years old. She moved to Port-au-Prince, Haiti as a teenager and stayed there most of her life. She worked hard as a seamstress to raise her children there. She emigrated to the US in August 1981, lived in Dorchester, MA for about two years, moved to Waltham, MA in September 1983 where her younger children attended elementary and high school and then moved to Brighton MA when she purchased her first house, and then moved to Brockton, MA in 2001.
Olivia worked for the Sheraton Boston Hotel for about 4 years and then worked for Harvard University Maintenance & Custodial Services until her retirement in 1998. She moved to Orlando, Florida for a while, but the sunshine state could not take her away from her kids permanently, she returned to Brockton in 2011 and lived there until her last breath.
Olivia heightened the word 'Humane' during her years on earth, she really took it to a level unknown to most. Her love really knows no barriers, she was loved by everyone and adopted as a mother, or sister by so many.
