Orlanda Nunes, 73, of Attleboro, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was the wife of the late Gil Nunes.
Born on August 15, 1946 in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Heitor Andrade and Josina (Monteiro) Nunes.
Orlanda was a dedicated house wife, staying at home with family caring for 8 children, 15 grandchildren, with 4 great grandkids, a few pets (Oreo, Jackie, Jackson, Tyson, Blue, Tyesa, Tyson little).
She enjoyed being home cooking, spending time with family. Loved talking with her friends and family on a daily basis. Dedicated thru her life with her faith in Seventh Day Adventist, and providing spiritual strength with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Maria DePina, Antonio Nunes, Eunice Gomes, Francisco Nunes, Jesuina Nunes, Helena Nunes, Sandro Nunes and Adelina Nunes;15 Grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; her brother Benjamin "Uncle Beja"; her sister, "Nhanha" et Jesmina", she is also survived by lots of close cousins, great cousins, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, friends and all her God children; her brother-in-law, "Tio Eduinu"; her sister-in-lae "Geninha". Orlanda weas loved by some many and has lived life loving others, and will forever be deeply missed. "WE LOVE YOU MAMA ALWAYS".
Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, June 19 from 11:00AM-12:00PM (With COVID-19 Restrictions) followed by a Graveside Service at 12:30PM in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
