Ourania (Stracoula) Psilekaris, of Brockton, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton following a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Demetrios "James" Psilekaris.
Ourania was born in Rodohorion Kozanis, Greece to the late Angelos and Glykeria Stracoula and emigrated to Brockton with her family in 1956.
She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton. Ourania's pride and joy was her family and being a homemaker.
Ourania is the beloved mother to her son, Thomas Psilekaris and his wife Fotini and her daughter, Theodora Psilekaris all of Brockton. Ourania is survived by her sisters, Kay Bislarides of Brockton and Anthoula Kosta of New Bedford; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews in this Country and Greece. She was the sister of the late Peter Poulos, Dr. John Poulos and Thomas Poulos

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, March 17th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Friday 4:00-7:00PM.
