Ourania (Mamatsis)Sarantos, 73, of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of Nicholas Sarantos.
Born March 5, 1939 in Greece, she was the daughter of the late Christos Mamatsis and Catherine (Tsimis) Mamatsis.
Ourania immigrated from Greece to Brockton in 1968 for better lives for her family, which she and her husband succeeded in doing.
She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Sarantos of Brockton; her sons, Christos Sarantos and his wife Ellen of Virginia and Tony Sarantos of Hanover; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Lucas, Alexandra and Courtney; her sisters, Maria Baker of Brockton and Anastasia Psilos of Newport, RI; her nephews and niece, Christos and John Psilos and Christian and Melissa Baker.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, February 19th at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Monday 4:00-7:00PM.
