Palmiria Pires Palmiria Pires , 105, of Taunton and formerly of Brockton, died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Morton Hospital. Born May 15, 1903 in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Catarina Pires. Mrs. Pires came to the United States of America 27 years ago where she lived in Boston, Brockton, and Taunton. She is survived by her son, Natalio Rosa of Taunton; she is also survived by 17 Grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren,7 Great-Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Francisca Lopes and the sister of the late Julia Pires and Fermina Pires. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123)Brockton on Thursday, September 18th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
