Pamala L. (Sommer) Dernier, 71, of Brockton, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019. She was the loving wife of Francis B. "Butch" Dernier. Born on July 26, 1948 in Champaign, Illinois, Pamala was the daughter of the late Harold Sommer and Norma J. Sommer. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in the Class of 1966. Pamala enjoyed being with her grandchildren and watching them play sports. She also enjoyed reading and watching NASCAR and football. In addition to her husband Butch; Pamala is survived by her children, Joseph R. Dernier and his wife Alicia, Jennifer L. Massaro and her husband Franco and Michael F. Dernier; her grandchildren, Brittney L. Dernier, Franco Massaro, Jr., Marissa L. Massaro, Dominic Massaro, Dante Massaro, Abigail M. Dernier and Ayla M. Dernier; her brother, Steven Sommer. Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Thursday, December 18, 2019, at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Wednesday from 4:00-8:00PM.
