Obituary

Patricia A. (Lydon) Smith age79, of Brockton, died May 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Smith, Jr. Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, Patricia was the daughter of the late Leo and Anna (Hurtin) Lydon.

A graduate of Msgr. Ryan High School, Pat and worked in the banking industry for many years.
Pat was a talented seamstress and was very involved with special needs children in Brockton. She especially enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her best friend Karen Johnson.

Pat was the mother of Janice Smith of Brockton, Lynne Barnes and her husband James of Rockland and Dianne Matte and her husband Donald of Taunton. She leaves 10 grandchildren: Nicole, Khrystina, Patrick, Heather, Matthew, Ryan, Shawn, Leanna, Alec, Devon and 6 great grandchildren: Darmani, Makayla, Erin, Nariah, Aaron and Kaylani. She was the sister of the late Leo Lydon.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Friday May 13, 2022 from 4-6pm followed by a funeral service. Burial at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
