Obituary

Patricia Allen, 75 years, of Brockton, passed away June 30, 2011 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Mary (Corcoran) Allen. A lifelong resident of Brockton, Pat worked most of her life in the garment industry and later worked at Marshall Paper Tube in Randolph.

During her illness she received great support from her niece Patricia Stinson, nephews Russell and Frank Simmons, Jr. and her very dear friend Betty Nolan as well as members of her church. Pat was grateful for this support and spoke of it on several occasions. The family also gives a special thanks to the staff at Life Care Center and Old Colony Hospice who supported Pat with their care.

She is survived by her sisters Margaret Simmons and Barbara Nash, a brother Harrison “Butch” Allen, Jr., brother in law Charles Nash and sister in law Betsy Allen, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Allen and sister in law of the late Frank Simmons.

Services will be private. The family has asked that donations in Patricia’s name be made to the church she held so near to her heart and from which she also found great support, the All Nations Worship Center, 429 Main Street, Walpole, MA 02081.
