Obituary

Patricia A. (Sollis) Dries, age 87, of Avon, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully on April 20, 2022 at her home. She was the longtime companion of the late Robert W. Burnie. Born and raised in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Doyle) Dennis. Patricia was a graduate of Plymouth High School.

Prior to moving to Avon to live with her daughter, she was a longtime resident of Brockton and lived in the Campello High Rise. It was at the high rise that she met many of her longtime friends and where she was known as the Avon Lady. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and Elvis fan and enjoyed playing Bingo and watching game shows.

Patricia was the mother of Kimberly A. Burnie and her companion James A. Bolter of Avon; grandmother of Robert A. Burnie and Amanda R. Burnie; great grandmother of Gianna A. Pratt and sister of Kathryn Askins and her husband Richard of Homosassa, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
