Patricia A. Leonard, 92, of Hingham, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026.
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Annie (McSweeney) Leonard. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1951 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Massachusetts College of Art.
A gifted and accomplished artist, Pat began her career specializing in watercolor and later expanded her work to include acrylics, pastels, and oils. She worked as a greeting card designer for Rustcraft Greeting Card Company in Dedham, MA, as well as a technical illustrator for firms in both Massachusetts and California.
Following her retirement, Pat moved to Mashpee on Cape Cod, where she continued painting local scenes and embarked on more than forty Road Scholar trips. She generously volunteered her time at the Mashpee Library, the Cotuit Center for the Arts, and the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Falmouth.
Pat also had a lifelong love of music and studied piano for many years. She amassed an extensive collection of sheet music and, in her later years, delighted residents of her retirement community by sharing her talent at the keyboard. Upon passing, her keyboard and music collection were donated to the residents of Rose Court at Linden Ponds.
She is survived by her sister, Paula C. Webster of Bridgewater, and by her nephews Jeffrey, Gregory, and Matthew Webster and their families. She was also the sister‑in‑law of the late Walter T. Webster Jr.
