Patricia M. "Patty" (Russell) O'Donnell, 95, of Bridgewater, formerly a long-time resident of Brockton, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Life Care Center of Raynham. She was the loving wife of the late William E. O'Donnell, Jr.

Born February 16, 1929 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick V. Russell and Catherine F. (Kelleher) Russell. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1947.

Patty was a long-time homemaker taking care of her family. She also worked for many years for Gowell's Candy Store in Brockton.

She was a lifetime communicant of St. Edward's Church in Brockton.

She enjoyed knitting, reading, antiquing, and socializing with her "Club Girls".

She is survived by her children, Susan Dundon of Middleboro, William "Skip" O'Donnell and his wife Janet of Bridgewater, John O'Donnell and his wife Lisa of Brockton and Cathleen Brien and her husband Steven of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Caitlin Bueno, Brian Dundon, Cristen Gerrish, Meghan Costa, Sean O'Donnell, Emily Brien, Patrick Brien, Aidan Brien, Jack O'Donnell and Lauren O'Donnell. Great grandmother to Leah Costa, Ryan Costa, Adele Dundon, Myles Gerrish and Amelia Gerrish, and her nephew Billy Russell of Cambridge and several other nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Michael O'Donnell, brothers Richard and Frederick Russell, and great granddaughter Hadley Jane Gerrish.

Calling Hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Saturday, November 2nd from 8:30AM-10;30AM thence to St. Edith Stein (St. Edward's Church), 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
