Obituary

Patricia M. (Weimert) Silva age 82 of Brockton died Thursday March 3, 2011 at Tufts New England Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Ellery L. Silva. Pat was born in New York City and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Lester and Leola (Arenburg) Weimert. A 1946 graduate of Brockton High School she had been a telephone operator early in her marriage and was a supervisor at Cape Cod Casual, retiring in 1998 after 16 years.
During her retirement, Pat had been a volunteer at Brockton Hospital and loved calling bingo at the Brockton Council on Aging. She also volunteered to run coffee hour and other activities at Brockton Commons. Pat received the most enjoyment in life spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her children Paul Silva of Brockton; Dwayne Silva and his wife Dianne of Pawtucket, RI; Karen Williams and her husband Barry of Georgia and Paula Silva of North Easton. She leaves ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Raymond and Lester Weimert.
Visiting hours will be in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 4-7 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 am. Burial will be at a later date.
