Online Obituaries Patrick J. Desmond, 67, of West Bridgewater and formerly of Middleboro and Hanson, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his home under the care of his family and hospice. He was the husband of Anne M. (Gioiosa)(Gurman) Desmond. Born January 30, 1949 in Fall River, he was the son of the late P. Henry Desmond and Louise E. (Dyer) Desmond. Raised in Fall River he served in the United States Air Force and graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Pat was a retired Brockton Police Officer, serving the City of Brockton for over 21 years before his retirement in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Anne M. (Gioiosa)(Gurman) Desmond; his children, Heather Lynn ONeill and her husband Kevin, Lindsey Jayne Desmond, Shawn Thomas Desmond and his wife Rebecca, Tersa A. Aker, John M. Gurman and Susanne M. Gurman; his grandchildren, Jameson, Jackson, Mackenzie, Carter, Brinley, Joshua, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Jarad and Julia; his siblings, Mary L. Desmond, Timothy H. Desmond and Elizabeth A. Desmond and her husband Richard Gwozdz; his loyal companion, Shylo; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, November 23rd at 8:30AM thence to Holy Cross Parish, 225 Purchase St., Easton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:00AM.
