Patrick "Frank" Lavigne
, 69, of Brockton, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of Mary Anne (Kinnaly) Lavigne.
Born February 24, 1941 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Francis E. Lavigne and Anne (Onges) Lavigne. A lifelong Brockton resident he graduated from Brockton High School and then Stonehill College in 1963.
Frank taught Social Studies for the Brockton School Department for 38 years at South Junior High School, then he retired in 2000.
Frank was an avid golfer and golfed and worked at Easton Country Club. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Brockton Elks. He was a member of the French Club and the Bertocci Memorial Club both in Brockton. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling to Maine.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne (Kinnaly) Lavigne of Brockton; his children, Suzanne Chambers and her husband Timothy of Tampa, Florida and Terence Lavigne and his wife Chanda of Raynham; his grandchildren, A.J. Chambers, Ryan Lavigne and Emma Lavigne; his brother, Philip E. Lavigne of Virginia; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, January 5th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Tuesday 4:00-7:00PM.
