Patrick Royster, Jr., 88, of Brockton, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Easton. Patrick Royster, Jr., more affectionally known as Pat, was born on March 28th,1931 in Oxford, North Carolina to the late Patrick Royster Sr. and Hassie (Betts) Royster. Pat was raised in Oxford and Attended Oxford Public Schools. Then, Pat and his family relocated to Brockton, MA in the late 50's. Pat's significate other and love of his life was the late Julia (Smith) Royster. They had one son that they adored, the late Wayne Royster. Pat worked as a laborer for Armstrong World Industries, where he later retired from. Pat enjoyed meeting up with his buddies at their favorite donut shops like Dip N Sip and Dunkin Donuts. Pat also enjoyed fishing, and especially traveling back home to North Carolina to visit his family. Pat leaves to cherish his memories three grandchildren, Joyce Watson, Korey Monteiro and Aleshia O' Hara. His great granddaughter Tatiana Mendes, who he was especially close with during his ending days, 12 other great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, Pat's two sisters, Mary Lou Tuck and Priscilla Harris, many nieces and nephews. Patrick is the Grandfather to the late Wayne Ash and Nelson Ash. Brother to the late Gladys Royster, Early Royster, Corrine Cordy, Elizabeth Harris, Zulene Downey, Willie Sue Chandler, Otis Royster. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Tuesday, March 10th from 9:00-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
