Paul W. Brooks of Bridgewater, formerly of Weymouth, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side, Friday, September 27, 2024. He was 85 years old. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann (Noone) Brooks, the love of his life.
Born July 28, 1939 in Boston, he was the son of the late Thomas Brooks and Catherine (Shields) Brooks. Paul was raised in Boston, he graduated from Don Bosco High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy. After leaving the Navy, Paul worked as a Machinist at Raytheon for many years.
Paul and his wife raised their family in Weymouth and were retired "snow birds" in Cape Canaveral, Florida. He was a member of the local Elks Club, was a passionate golfer, loved music, was an avid reader and Boston sports fan.
Paul was the happiest spending time with his family, friends and loved ones.
He is survived by his daughters, Denise Lydon and her husband Shawn and Diane Brooks and her partner Colin Rogers; he was the proud grandfather of David Lydon and his wife Becky , Ashley Lydon and Christopher Lydon; he was the loving great-grandfather of Cameron, Giavanna, Violet, Jackson, Amberly, Emma, Maddison and Esme. He was fortunate to have spent many amazing years with his companion, Carole Casey.
Brother of the late Thomas Brooks, his sister Catherine Cirello and his is brother-in-law, Tino. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 S. Main St., (Rt.28) West Bridgewater at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 4th thence to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 11:00 AM. A bereavement lunch will follow at Barrett's Ale House, 425 Bedford St., Bridgewater at 12:30 PM. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 3rd from 4:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home.
