Paul Dennis Johnson, 62, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Born in Brockton on December 13, 1959, he was the son of Anne B. (Gibbs) Johnson and the late Rebert E. Johnson, III. Paul, a scholar athlete, graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School and attended Colby College. Paul was a journeyman drywall finisher in the construction industry. Paul was a voracious reader, an avid windsurfer, a student of history and philosophy, a gardener, a sports enthusiast, and an ardent outdoorsman. He will be remembered for his brilliance, his wit, his love of family and his kind generous spirit. Paul is survived by his longtime companion Katharine Marie Lobo Medeiros; his mother Anne B. Johnson; his siblings Judith A. Johnson, MD, Valerie M. Johnson, Michael A. Johnson, Kenneth L. Johnson and Phillip W. Johnson; sisters-in-law Patricia Johnson and Lori Johnson; and several nieces and nephews; and many cousins. He was also the brother of the late Rebert E. Johnson, IV and David A. Johnson. Visiting hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt.123) Brockton on Saturday, March 12th from 2:00-4:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
