Paul Edward Mulcahy, Sr., 79, of Middleboro passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of Marie E. (DeFeo) Mulcahy.
Born in Boston on August 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Jeremiah Mulcahy and Esther (Doherty) Mulcahy. After graduating from Keith Academy in Lowell, class of 1959, Paul served in the United States Army.
Paul was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service and served as President of National Association of Letter Carriers Merged Branch 18.
He enjoyed watching all Boston sports, going to Las Vegas and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife Marie, Paul is survived by his children Scott W. Galpin, Julie E. Rooslet and her husband Mark and Paul E. Mulcahy, Jr. and his wife Kerri; his grandchildren Michael Galpin and his wife Meagan, Alyssa Galpin, Amanda Galpin, Joshua Galpin, Noah Taffah Rooslet, Kenza Taffah Rooslet and Elena Mulcahy. He was predeceased by his sister Ann Mulcahy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to support Dr. Sophia Koo's research sundry fund at Brigham and Women's Hospital with "in memory of Paul Mulcahy" in the memo line and sent to: Brigham and Women's Hospital, Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 3rd floor, Boston, MA 02116.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (RT28) West Bridgewater on Saturday, May 8th from 1:00PM-5:00PM.
