Paul Robert O'Donnell, Sr.,79, of Middleboro, passed away Tuesday, December 3 2024 at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham. He was the husband of Ilene Marie (Coots) O'Donnell for nearly 57 years.

Born October 9, 1945 in Brockton, he was the son of Edward J. O'Donnell and Mary (McSweeney) O'Donnell. Raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School in 1966. Paul then served in the United States Navy.

Paul started his career being a Machinist for American Can Company and then retired from the Foxboro Company after 25 years in the Research & Development Department.

Paul became an Orderly in the Operating Room at the Brockton Hospital for 10 years.

He enjoyed gardening and tinkering in his barn.

He is survived by his wife, Ilene M. O'Donnell; his son, Paul R. O'Donnell, Jr. and his wife Pamela; his granddaughter, Brenna O'Donnell; His siblings, Robert O'Donnell and Sue Gallagher; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews on the East and West Coast. He was the brother of the late Edward O'Donnell, Jr., Terrance O'Donnell and Jane Goodwin.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home 17 Main St., (Rt105) Lakeville on Wednesday, December 11th at 9:00 AM thence to St. Isadore Parish/Sacred Heart Church, 340 Center St., Middleboro where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 PM. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 10th in the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM.
