Paul D. Power was born on September 1, 1942 in Boston to Ruth and Douglas Power. He was a Dorchester native where he was raised with his sisters, Lleann English, Marjorie Cochrane and June Horn. He entered the United States Marine Corps in 1960 and served in Vietnam in Intelligence. When he became a civilian, he worked as a fabricator/welder.

Paul was married to Marjorie Power and became a widower in 1999. He is survived by Anna Judy of Beverly and her husband John, Verna-Ann Power of Easton and Paula Spadea of Easton and her husband Michael. Loving grandfather to Hailey Charnitsky and Anthony and Francesca Spadea. Paul is survived by his daughter Julie Power, sons Stephen Power and Wayne Power and his children. His sons Paul Power Jr and Thomas Power predeceased him, and he is survived by their children.

A charmer until the day he died, he was a lifelong learner. He loved war movies, old TV shows, like Gunsmoke, listening to music and enjoying food. He had a passion for cooking starting with preparation to savoring every morsel of a meal. Summers in Dorchester would allow for large BBQs on a charcoal grill he made. Paul was not shy about loudly listening to his records of Tina Turner, Fleetwood Mac and one of his favorites, "Vogue" by Madonna. Paul will be remembered as a garrulous man who fought until the day he died.

Visitation will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street Brockton on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. His funeral service will follow immediately at 12 pm. Burial is private at the convenience of the family
