Paul Francis Segreve, also known as Siggy, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Bridgewater at the age of 71 on October 18, 2021. Paul fought a courageous 15 month battle with metastatic prostate cancer.
Born in Boston on March 9, 1950 to the late Harold and Mildred (Minnihan) Segreve, he was the youngest of nine children. Paul enjoyed a long career as a truck driver for Martignetti Corporation distributing wine and spirits in the New England area. He was a proud member and steward of the Teamsters Union. In recent years, Paul enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to the monthly Knights of Columbus meat raffles with his family.
Paul is survived by his wife Catherine (DeCourcey) Segreve; and his children Kimberly Gibson and her husband Andrew, Cindy Segreve, Danielle Murray and her husband Patrick, Paul Segreve, Jr., and Brianna Segreve. He was the beloved Papa to David Skiendiel, Jr., Taylor Skiendiel, Victoria Gibson, Ryker Gibson, Brooke Skiendiel, Noah Gibson, Martin Turpin, Gracie Vierra, Meghan Murray and great-grandson Nathan Kunz.
He was the loving brother to Ellen Davis of Canton, Beverly Faulkner of Roslindale, Barbara Woodford of Stoughton and the late Patricia Kelly, Harold Segreve, Carol Ann Segreve, Ralph Segreve and Rev. Richard Segreve, CSC. Paul is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Paul's family would like to sincerely thank Old Colony Palliative & Hospice Care, especially his palliative care nurse Carol and hospice nurse Bri for their care for him over the past year and during his last month with us at home. He was a very proud and stoic man who didn't let others know when he was in pain. Both Carol and Bri were able to make sure his battle with cancer and his final days were met with pride and dignity.
Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rt.123), Brockton on Friday, October 22nd at 8:30 AM thence to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 PM.
