IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul
Stoddard
October 24, 1977 – October 24, 2022
We are devastated to announce the passing of Paul M Stoddard, 45, of Buckeye, AZ. Paul left us on October 24, 2022, after battling recent health issues. Those who knew Paul, knew him as a gentle giant and kind soul. Impetuous both on stage and in private life, Paul made friends and helped people wherever life took him. He was an amazing man who led an extraordinary life; a melodic and fierce vocalist, a complete performing artist when acting or playing music with a one of a kind sense of humor. Paul would light the room whenever he entered.
The beloved son of Beverly Stoddard and the late George Stoddard, Paul was the devoted husband of Vanessa Stoddard and most loving father of Belle and Lucian Stoddard. He is survived by brother Kyle Stoddard and sister-in-law Heather Stoddard of Bridgewater, MA; sister Jennifer Barton and brother-in-law Edward Barton of Salt Lake City, UT; brother Craig Stoddard of Monponsett, MA; sister-in-law Lexie Gomez of Lafayette, CO; brother-in-law Nicolas Gomez of Westminster, CO; brother-in-law Stephen Brunetti of Sunny Isles, FL; and sister-in-law Macie Gomez of Westminster, CO.
Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, Paul graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School in Hanson, Massachusetts.
Paul's biggest passion in life was entertaining those around him. He was known for this poignant discussions, animated humor and his epic stage presence.
Paul was known for dynamic discussions on topics that ranged from religion, politics and art. If Paul was there, people were laughing. Whether it was his silly faces or risky jokes, one way or another, he would get you laughing. When Paul performed, he drew you in with his charisma and amazing vocals. It was a privilege to see Paul on stage.
Notable moments of Paul's life: the leading roles in local theatre include the Cowardly Lion and Daddy Warbucks, High School Football for the Whitman Hanson Panthers, Drummer of the Whitman Hanson Jazz and Marching Bands, Lead Vocalist and Percussionist of local band Breedinground where the band performed at Locobazooka in Worcester MA, Headliner of multiple WAAF shows throughout New England with a devoted fanbase. In 2004, Paul became the lead singer of national act Diecast from Boston. With Diecast, Paul toured Europe and the US, performing in many tours and festivals. During his time with Diecast, the band was a guest on MTV's Headbanger's Ball and their music was selected for a Volkswagen Commercial. Despite all of these career highlights, Paul will be most remembered a devoted family man.
Paul's Celebration of Life services will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home in 165 Belmont St in Brockton, Massachusetts, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 2:00-6:00 PM.
