Obituary

Paula J. (McNamara) Large age 60 of Brockton died Wednesday August 21, 2013 at Mass General Hospital after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Paula was born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Patrick and Alice (Sullivan) McNamara and remained a lifelong resident of the city.

Paula loved music, cookouts and the beach. Her true joy in life was her family and her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She will be remembered as a loving, caring and generous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was the loving mother of Robin Smith of West Bridgewater and Michael Large and his wife Deborah of Stoughton and was the mother-in-law of Brian Smith. She was the devoted grandmother of Brian Smith, Jr., Benjamin Smith, Brandon Large and Brody Large. Paula was sister of Jerome McNamara of Lakeville, Thomas McNamara of Middleboro and the late Anne Hoyt, Joan Purdy, James McNamara and John McNamara. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Monday 5-8 pm. Her funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
