Obituary

Pearl M. (Martell) Langton, age 91, of Brockton, died October 29, 2017 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Langton, Sr. and daughter of the late Laurence and Mary (Gannon) Martell. Pearl was raised and educated in Cambridge and Somerville and attended Cambridge schools. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed dancing, crossword puzzles and arts and crafts.

Pearl was the mother of Michael Langton and his wife Liz of Brockton, Patricia Whitcher and her husband Thomas of Bridgewater and the late Joseph Langton, Jr. and David Langton; grandmother of 6; great grandmother of 14; mother in law of Janice Langton of West Bridgewater; and sister in law of John Langton, Sr. of Somerville and Frances Ferris of Brockton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pearl was the sister of the late Lawrence Martell, George Martell, Ruth Phillips, Helen Leach and Lillie Arnone.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday, November 1, 4-8pm. A Graveside Service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Thursday at 11:15am. Donations in Pearl’s name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
