Pedro Goncalves Miranda, 80, of Brockton passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the St Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton. He was the husband of Francisca F. Miranda. Born February 15, 1938 in Fogo, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Francisco Goncalves and Ramona R. Miranda. Pedro liked playing cards, watching soccer and took pleasure in sitting outside enjoying the fresh air. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, grandchildren, and having tea parties with his granddaughter Alana. He is survived by his wife, Francisca F. Miranda; his children, Jose Barros, Joao Andrade, Maria Santos, Maria Barros, Isabel Barros, Pedro Barros, Pedro Goncalves, Nene Alves, Maria Miranda and Anna Miranda; his grandchildren, Alana Miranda, Harrison Miranda, Tanya Miranda, Andrew Goncalves Miranda, Anthony Barros, Sergio Barros, Pedro Goncalves, Pedros Barros, Jr., Jeremy Goncalves, Andrew Goncalves, Jason DePina, John DePina, Michael Santos, Antonio Santos, and Sheila DePina; his great grandchildren, Lyric Miranda, Nehemiah Miranda and Jordan Miranda, Anthony Barros, Jr., Jaden Barros, Autumn Barros, Raylin Barros, Arianna Goncalves and Mariana Goncalves; his siblings, Augusta Goncalves, Maria Goncalves Miranda, Avelino Goncalves Miranda, Anna Goncalves and Italia Goncalves. Funeral from Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday January 24th at 8:00am followed by a funeral Mass in St, Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main Street, Brockton, at 9:00am. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday January 23rd from 5:00pm-9:00pm.
