On October 12, 2023, our beloved Percy "Bubby" Glennwood Lewis III of Bridgewater, MA tragically and unexpectedly, passed away all too soon at the tender age of 18.

Percy was born on November 17, 2004 in Worcester, MA to Percy Glennwood Lewis II and Gabrielle Marie Lewis. Percy leaves behind three siblings, Aiyana Lewis, 23 years of age, Breydan Lewis 14 years of age, and Bria Lewis, 11 years of age of Bridgewater, MA.

Percy moved with his family to Brockton, MA shortly before his first birthday. He attended the Arnone and Angelo Elementary Schools followed by West Middle School and completed his freshman year at Brockton High School. Percy was an athlete at heart. In Brockton, Percy was involved in multiple sports. He played basketball, football, ran track, wrestled, baseball and soccer all with the heart of a lion.

At the age of 14, Percy moved with his family to Bridgewater, MA where he entered his sophomore year at Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School where he graduated in 2022. Percy participated in the school basketball and track and field teams.

Percy was sworn in to the United States Marine Corp on the morning of his untimely passing and intended to pursue a career in the military.

Percy enjoyed spending time with his many friends going to the beach, playing basketball, and playing video games. His best friends, Collin Mota of Brockton, MA and Christopher Lesley of Canton, MA are left heartbroken.

Percy is survived by his grandparents, Percy G. Lewis I and Marilyn Lewis of Tallahassee, FL and Linda Willhite of Bridgewater, MA; and his great-grandmother Marie Willhite of Royalston, MA. He leaves behind his aunt Petrina Lewis of Springfield, MA, uncle Eric Thibodeau of Somersworth, NH and first cousins Cory Lewis, Derrick Lewis, Christopher Smith, Alexia Thibodeau and Caleb Cotterell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Russell & Pica Funeral Home located at 441 South Main Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379, followed by a procession to the Halifax Central Cemetery located at 60 Hemlock Lane, Halifax, MA 02338.
