Online Obituaries Peter S. Canelias, 58, of New York City, New York, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the New York Weill Cornell Medical Center. He was the longtime partner of Anne Cutrufo. Born January 16, 1957 in Brockton, MA he was the son of Valentina S. (Adams) Canelias and the late John P. Yankee Canelias. Peter worked as a patent law attorney in New York City. He was also a New York law school professor, an author, an avid reader and intellectual, and devout Christian. Peter served on the federal circuit court of appeals in Washington DC, and made appearances on CNBC as a legal consultant. He is survived by his mother, Valentina S. (Adams) Canelias in Brockton, and his sister, Dr. Pauline M. Canelias in Manhattan. He was the brother of the late Frank Canelias. Funeral Information A Funeral Service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Monday, November 9th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
