Peter S. Hasomeris Peter S. Hasomeris , 85, of Avon, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Sachem in East Bridgewater after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Mary (Drivas) Hasomeris. Born April 20, 1926 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Steven J. Hasomeris and Flora (Andrian) Hasomeris. Raised in Avon he graduated from Avon High School. He was a China Marine serving in the United States 6th Marine Division during the invasion of Okinawa. Peter was a retired Truck Driver. He worked for Cape Cod Overland Express for over 25 years. He was also the owner and operator of Peter Mary's of Brockton. With his business, he was the first to support an African American Softball and Baseball Team in Brockton. He played semi-pro Football for the Brockton Athletic Division. He was a former member of AHEPA. He is survived by his children, Flora Rosenfield of Bridgewater and John P. "Buster" Hasomeris and his wife Susan of Brockton; his grandchildren, Tara Hasomeris and Alexander Hasomeris both of Brockton; his siblings, John S. Hasomeris and his wife Ardelle of Avon, Constance Vieira of Avon, Steven Hasomeris of Raynham and Nicholas Hasomeris of Boston; his brother-in-law, Arthur Drivas and his wife Mary; his sister-in-law, Celia Nalesnik; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, October 4th at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM.
