Peter Joseph Lavin, 63, of Brockton, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on February 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Louise (Kulick) Lavin for the last 35 years.

Born in Boston on April 28,1960, Peter was the son of the late Thomas and Charlotte (McKeon) Lavin. He was raised in Whitman and Springfield, MA and later resided in both Brockton and South Yarmouth, MA.

For the last 16 years Peter worked at National Grid, his last position as a Substation Construction Manager. Prior to that, he worked as a licensed journeyman electrician for many years.

Peter was a proud graduate of Emmanuel College where he earned his bachelor's degree, while working full-time and raising a family.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Peter enjoyed the beach, traveling, exercising daily, and spending time with his many friends. Most of all, Peter cherished the time spent with his family, especially his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren, supporting their many activities and accomplishments.

Peter's legacy lives on through his children: Brittany Marsan and her husband Eric of Walpole, MA, and Christopher Lavin and his significant other, Mandi Melchionno of Brockton. He is survived by his sister, Charlene Lavin and her husband Steve Parsons of Mansfield, MA, and sister-in-law Irena Lavin of Meredith, NH. He was the brother of the late Thomas P. Lavin. He also survived by his sister-in-law, Joanne (Kulick) McMillian and her husband Tom of Montville, NJ, and brother-in-law Daniel Kulick of Raynham, MA.

Peter leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Lucas Marsan and Mia Lavin, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11th, from 12-3 p.m. in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St. (Rt. 28), West Bridgewater, MA. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 12th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 103 North Main Street, West Bridgewater. Burial will be private.
