Online Obituaries Peter J. Pappas, 86, of Brockton, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Copley of Stoughton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Ernestine (Droukas) Pappas. Born November 10, 1927 in Granitsaiika, Pyrgos, Greece, he was the son of the late John and Trisevgeni Papavassiliou. Peter was a retired Shoe Factory Worker. He was a Member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton having served on the Parish Council. He was a Member and past President of order AHEPA, Lord Byron Chapter #57, Brockton. Also a member of the Pan Macedonian Society, Paneliakos Society of Greater New England and St. George Society Pyrgos, Greece. He is survived by his brothers, Efstathios Papavassiliou and his wife Eleni and Themistoclis Papavassiliou and his wife Maria all of Athens, Greece; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews in the United States and Greece. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, August 22nd at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM.
