Online Obituaries Phana Hyppolite, 90, of Brockton passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton after a period of failing health. Born on December 12, 1921 in Port-A- Piment, Haiti she was the daughter of the late Orestil Hyppolite and Anabel (Sanitfort) Hyppolite. She was raised and educated in Haiti. Phana came to the U.S. in 1979. She was a member of the First Brockton Haitian Church. She enjoyed watching TV, soap operas, listening to the radio, shopping, and talking to her friends on the phone. She was known as "Super Grandma". Phana loved people and always put others before herself no matter what her own situations may have been. She is survived by her daughter Rose L. Elie and her husband Edner; her grandchildren, Edson Elie, Edwine "Eddie" Elie, Cliff Hyppolite, Edna R. Elie, Gifford Hyppolite, Ancilla "Judy" Hyppolite and Guerline Hyppolite; her great-grandchild Kimora Rose Sajous and her niece Lucy Douyon and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Kesnel Hyppolite. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 9:00AM in the First Brockton Haitian Church, 940 Main St., Brockton. Interment will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00PM - 9:00PM.
