Philip Alton Bakirakis, 86, of Lakeville, formerly of Woburn, MA passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Grace E. (Esposito) Bakirakis.

Born October 2, 1937 in Taunton, MA he was the son of the late Nicholas and Norma (Walker) Bakirakis.

He was a graduate of Everett High School and attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. A veteran of the U.S. Army from which he was honorable discharged, Mr. Bakirakis worked as a buyer for the former Jordan Marsh department store. Along with his wife, they owned the Pinches & Pounds Candy Store in multiple locations for 18 years. He enjoyed gardening and investing in the stock market.

In addition to his wife of 58 years Grace, he is survived by a daughter, Lori Bakirakis-Bell and her husband Jeffrey; a grandson, Dylan Bell, a granddaughter, Emily Bell and a sister, Marjorie Burr. He was predeceased by two siblings, Nicholas Bakirakis and Christine Schatz.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 19th at 11:00AM in Fern Hill Cemetery, 784 High Street, Hanson, MA.
