Phillip F. Mussari, age 85, of Raynham, died peacefully on December 20, 2023 at his home. He was the husband for 56 years of Noreen (Fitzmaurice) Mussari. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late George and Carmella (Coviello) Mussari.
Phil was a 1956 graduate of Brockton High School. Following graduation he served in the US Navy. He received his engineering degree from Northeastern University and for 20 years was a design engineer at Stone and Webster.
He was a member of the Stamp Club of Stoughton and Camera Club of Brockton. He enjoyed reading, gardening, solving jigsaw puzzles and traveling extensively with his wife Noreen. One of his favorite pastimes was watching his grandchidren’s sporting events and recitals.
He is also survived by his four children: Joanne Mussari of Brockton, Phillip Mussari and his wife Chrissy of West Bridgewater, Laura Mussari-Russell and her husband Jack of Raynham and Patrick Mussari and his wife Kate of Taunton as well as 8 grandchildren: Lindsey Thomas, Brian Cocco, John Cocco, Matthew Russell, Jillian Russell, Aiden Mussari, Charlotte Mussari and Myles Mussari and a great granddaughter Lalya Andrade. He leaves his brother George Mussari of Easton, his sister Roseann Mussari of Raynham and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, December 26, from 4-7pm in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton. Burial will be private for family only on Wednesday at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
