Pietro Pasquale Muraca of Brockton, age 86, passed away on November 27, 2024 after a short period of failing health. He was born November 22, 1938 in Sambiase, Lamezia Terme, Italy to the late Margherita Mantello and Salvatore Muraca, the eldest of four siblings. He was the beloved husband to the late Isabella Renda, and beloved father to Peppino (wife Jennifer) of Brockton, Rita (husband Daniel) of Norwood, Maria Lisa of Brockton, and to the late Lisa Lesly. He was the devoted grandfather to his two grandchildren Luisa Muraca and Diego Panero.

He is survived by his brother Francesco Muraca of Boston, and his sisters Caterina Novielli and Felicia Damiani and many relatives in the US, Canada, Australia, and his native Italy.

He completed an apprenticeship to be a Master Tailor under Mastro Zaffina in his hometown of Sambiase, Italy. He married his beloved wife, Isabella, also of Sambiase, in February 1973. Soon after they moved to the United States, residing in Brockton, Massachusetts. He worked as a tailor for Wallachs and then later Milton's in the South Shore Plaza, in Braintree for many years until his retirement.

He was a Master Tailor who excelled at crafting bespoke suits and custom garment alterations for his many customers. In his free time, he loved to cultivate his vegetable garden, tend to his house and keep up with current events in the U.S. and Italy. He also enjoyed visiting family and friends, frequently traveling to his home town in Sambiase, Lamezia Terme and even going as far as Australia to see loved ones. He was a quiet man who could also make you laugh, who was quick with numbers and very fond of well-cooked meals and desserts. But above all, he loved to spend time with his family.

A funeral mass will be held in St. Patrick's Church, 335 Main St., Brockton on Thursday, December 5th at 10:00 AM followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Wednesday, December 4th from 4:00-7:00 PM.
