Quentin E. Hughes, Jr., of Brockton passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Lapworth) Hughes. Born in Boston on August 4, 1932, he was the son of the late Quentin E. Hughes, Sr. and Maria (Kearn) Hughes. He was a graduate of BC High School and Boston College. Quentin also served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Quentin was a project engineer for Polaroid. When Quentin retired after a long career with Polaroid, he obtained his real estate appraisal license and spent many years as a successful commercial real estate appraiser. Quentin enjoyed traveling, sports, following the BC Eagles and was a season ticket holder for many years. He enjoyed spending summers at their cottage in Falmouth with his family. In addition to his wife, Marilyn, Quentin is survived by his son Steven Hughes and his wife Marilyn; grandson Connor Hughes; and sister Dorothy Reagan. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 27th at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton from 9:00-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 PM.
