Rachel Mulcahy
Rachel (Harakles) Mulcahy, 85, of Brockton died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of John J. Mulcahy.
Born August 23, 1921 in Manchester, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Christie Harakles and Ourania (Vasiliou) Harakles. She was raised in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School in 1939. She married her husband, John J. Mulcahy, in 1958.
She worked as a seamstress. She also oversaw her brother's restaurant business, Jimmy's Fox's Den in Brockton, along with her sister for several years.
Mrs. Mulcahy was a resident of Brockton for most of her life and was a former member of the Annunciaton Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton. She enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her husband, John J. Mulcahy of Brockton; her sister, Mary Savage of Brockton; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late James C. Harakles.
