Obituary

Rae R. (DiLillo) Powers age 95, of Palm Desert, CA formerly of Brockton, died November 30, 2015 at the Eisenhower Medical Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Walter J. Powers. Rae was raised in Brockton, the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Decembrile) DiLillo and was a 1939 graduate of Brockton High School. In 1986 Rae and her husband retired to Palm Desert where she remained after his death in 1997.
Rae enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with her husband, bingo, shopping and keeping up with the latest fashions. Her family attributes her longevity to her love of life and family.
Rae is survived by her two grandchildren Colleen DeSimone and her husband Gregory of Mansfield and Ryan Powers and his wife Keri of Raynham. She was great grandmother of Cecelia DeSimone and Matthew and Mallory Powers. Rae was the mother of the late Richard J. Powers and mother-in-law of Carol Anne Powers of So. Easton. She was the sister of the late Anthony and Girard DiLillo and Angelina Jordan and an aunt and cousin to many.
Visitation will be held 9-10am in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Wednesday December 9, 2015. Funeral Mass will follow in Holy Cross Church So. Easton at 10:30 am. Burial in the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30pm.
