Rafael Padilla, 48, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Brigham & Womens Hospital. He was the longtime companion of 28 years to Olga Maria De Jesus.

Born in Waltham on July 9, 1974, he was the son of Norma R. (Bonilla) Padilla and the late Angel R. Padilla. He graduated from Brockton High School in the class of 1993.

Rafael worked as an auto mechanic during and after high school for Woodward's Auto Spring Shop and Meineke Car Care Center.

He loved his muscle cars, building and racing them. He loved riding his motorcycle, car shows and spending time with his family. He was a loving, caring and giving person he will truly be missed.

In addition to his companion Olga and mother Norma, Rafael is survived by his sons Rafael E. Padilla and Romeo A. Padilla; his brother Johnny Padilla; his nieces and nephews Jonalisse L. Padilla, Johnny A. Padilla, Ja'saun T. Jean-Pierre, Lex A. Jean-Pierre and Aysia Nieves; his great niece Elisse Bonilla; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his dog Zuma.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, March 20th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church,335 Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00-6:00PM.
