(Picanzo) Wood, 85, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital surrounded by her family after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John Wood. Born June 22, 1928 in Madison, Maine she was a daughter of the late James Picanzo and Ida (Picchione) Picanzo. She was a resident of Brockton for over 75 years. Raffeal was a retired seamstress and also worked at Prospect Hill Company in Brockton for over 15 years. She loved playing cards, enjoyed cooking and was very devoted to her family. She is survived by her children, John Wood and his wife Carol of Vermont, Robert Wood and his wife Susan of Plymouth, Paul Wood and his partner Mary Pace of Norwood, David Wood and his wife Kat of North Easton, Jason Wood and his husband Mark of San Francisco, CA and Ida Marie McCarthy of Marshfield; her 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Angelina Morrone of Raynham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John, James, Anthony, Joseph, Robert and Richard Picanzo. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 9:30AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours Monday from 4:00-7:00PM.
