Brichacek of Brockton February 1, 2005, Ralph J. Brichacek, 88 years. Husband of the late Priscilla (Gary) Brichacek. Loving father of Gail D. Fiorentino and her husband Vito of Brockton.
Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123)Brockton Friday at 11 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm.
Obituary
Mr. Brichacek died Tuesday at the Sachem Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Sylvan Grove, Kansas, son of the late Frank and Emilie(Hendrich)Brichacek. During WW II he joined the US Navy and served in the European African theater and Pacific-Asiatic Theater. He served aboard the USS Texas and USS Yosemite. While stationed in Boston he met his future wife and had been a resident of Brockton and Avon for many years. Before his retirement he was a service technician for Brockton Oil Heat from 1947-1976 and from 1976 to 1981 he worked at Alvin Hollis. He loved reading, sports magazines, gardening and making crafts and also enjoyed his daily walk to the corner store. He was past member of the VFW in Middleboro.
He is survived by his daughter Gail D. Fiorentino and his son in law Vito of Brockton and several nieces and nephews
