Ralph D. Higgins Ralph D. Higgins , 71, of Brockton, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Janet (Balser) Higgins. Born April 5, 1937 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Milton Higgins and Lila (Eldridge) Higgins. Mr. Higgins worked at the Titleist - Footjoy Company, Knapp Shoe Company, and Howard Johnson Plant in Brockton. He was a lifelong Brockton resident. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Balser) Higgins; his sister, Suzanne Sappier of Canada; his brother, Roland Higgins of Texas; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Barbara Travers, Robert Higgins, and Virginia Lovell. Funeral Information Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, February 2nd from 4:00-6:00PM followed by a funeral prayer service at 6:00PM. The Rev.
