Ralph V. Lanzetta, Sr. Ralph V. Lanzetta, Sr. , 88, a life long resident of Brockton died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Ann (Mastropietro) Lanzetta. Born November 10, 1922 in Brockton he was a son of the late Ralph and Adaline (DePasquale) Lanzetta. Ralph was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1940, Wentworth Institute of Technology and Shipbuilding apprentice school for management for Bethleham Steal Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served his country in WWII. Ralph retired from General Dynamics where he was a ship superintendent. He was commander of the Italian Veterans Post #62 in Brockton, a member of the Whitman V.F.W. Post 697 and a former member of the Brockton Sons of Italy and D.W. Field Golf Course. He was an avid bowler and was devoted to his family. He is survived by his children, Ralph Lanzetta, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Quincy, Patricia A. Flamos and her husband Nick of Hanover and Jon Lanzetta of Brockton; his two grandchildren, Talia and Nicholas Flamos both of Hanover; his siblings, Robert Lanzetta of Marshfield and Loraine Kondracki of Dennis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday at 8:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Monday 4-7PM.
