Ralph D. Pina Sergeant Ralph D. Pina , 55, of Brockton went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 9, 2014. Born April 8, 1959 to Philomena (Pina) Marshall of Brockton and John Dias, Jr. of Falmouth. The proud father of Andre and Seth Pina. A graduate of Brockton High School, he went on to attend Zion Bible College and was a recent graduate of Almedia University which he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology. Sergeant Ralph served his country for over 30 years, serving with the Marines and the Army reserves. He received several honorable medals such as National Defense Services and Army Achievements. Ralph was deployed twice to Afghanistan. He was very active with the Royal Rangers and was a devoted New England Sports Team fan. Ralph had an early calling on his life to serve the Lord he preached his first message at the age of 9 at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Abington. He recently became Pastor of the Faith, Praise & Worship Center. There wasnt anything more important to him then his love for the Lord and his family. Ralph is survived by his siblings, Joseph Pina of MA, Jeffrey Pina of MA, Vincent Pina of CA, Gena Pina-Garcia of PA, Jonathan Pina of MA, Nena Marshall of MA, Elizabeth Rackley of CA, John Dias III, of MA, Dorene Dias of CA, Jose Dias of MA and Thomas Dias of MA. He was the former husband of Marcina (Pina) Howard and Rhonda (Pina) Ross. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11:00am in the Messiah Baptist Church, 80 Legion Parkway, Brockton, MA. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton, MA Calling hours will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am at the church.
