Ramona Hashem, 60, of West Bridgewater, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton.
Born on September 3, 1960. In Akoura, Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Joseph K. Hashem and Lorice Hashem and sister of the late Steven Hashem. Ramona was raised in Lebanon until she was seven years old and came to the U.S. with her parents in 1967 to Lawrence. Some two years later she came to Brockton with her family and lived there almost all her life.
Ramona was a devoted parishioner of St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church in Brockton. She attended Brockton High School and then went on to complete her Bachelors Degree at Suffolk University, Boston where she graduated Cum Laude.
Ramona enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoying a good meal together. She loved taking road trips to Plymouth, the Cape and Maine with her family.
Ramona was a spiritual woman and her faith with God was admirable as she prayed daily and watched Mass without fail every day.
She is survived by her brother, Raymond Hashem; her sister, Mary Hajj and her son Harrison Hajj; her nieces and nephews, Chantelle, Katreena, Ramon, Yousef and their mother, Sheila Hashem; Jacob and Kayla Hashem; and her great niece, Baby Elena Lorice. Ramona is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives both here in the U.S. and in Lebanon who loved her dearly.
