Raul P. Monteiro, 68, of Brockton, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Virginia L. (Cardoso) Monteiro. Born December 10, 1949 in Fogo, Cape Verde, he was a son of Eugenia P. (Pires) Monteiro and the late Raul Monteiro. Raul was raised and educated in Cape Verde. He worked for Cumberland Farms Warehouse for several years. In addition to his wife and mother, Raul is survived by his children, Kimberly Monteiro and Nereida Monteiro; his granddaughter Kelis Monteiro. Complete survivors list to follow. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, May 17th at 9:30AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:30AM.
