Obituary

Raymond E. Scott, 79, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021 at home surrounded by family. He was born in Brockton on December 10, 1941, the son of the late Charles and Phoebie Scott. He was the youngest of 15 siblings. Ray lived in Brockton most of his life before moving to Bridgewater 2 years ago. He was a dedicated laborer at LeBaron Foundry for 38 years. Ray enjoyed golfing, vacations, going to Foxwoods, Boston sports teams, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren were his greatest treasures. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia A. Scott of Bridgewater; his daughters Nicole Zapolski and her husband Brian of Plymouth and Michelle Talbot and her husband Matt of Brockton; he was the best papa evah to 3 grandchildren, Olivia Zapolski and Logan and Brayden Talbot. He was the brother of Walter Scott of Sagamore Beach, Paul Scott of Taunton and the late Phyllis Schmidt, Ethel Matta, Hazel Blatchford, Edna McNevin, Lillian Swederskas, Ralph, Robert Stanley, Charles, John, Kenneth and Donald Scott. Ray is also survived by many nieces, grandnieces, nephews and grandnephews. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 S. Main St.,(Rt.28) West Bridgewater on Friday, April 2nd from 5-8pm. Due to Covid restrictions, funeral and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's name may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley St., West Bridgewater, MA 02379. ************************* COVID-19 Funeral Home Capacity Restrictions******************** Russell & Pica Funeral Homes Guidelines when attending a funeral wake/service. All visitors when returning to their cars will please exit the property to allow others to enter. All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
