Online Obituaries Rebecca J. Greer, 35, a Brockton Police Officer, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the Norwood Hospital. She was the beloved wife of David R. Heidke. Born January 13, 1977 in Portsmouth, Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of James H. Greer and Kathleen (Murphy) Greer. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1995 and received her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Massasoit Community College. Rebecca was a Brockton Police Officer for the last twelve years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was a Rainbow Girl. She enjoyed traveling and taking walks with her dog. She is survived by her husband, David R. Heidke of Brockton; her parents, James H. Greer and Kathleen (Murphy) Greer of Virginia; her brother, Jon Greer of Raynham; she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
